AIDILFITRI DI PERANTAUAN

This year in June, Muslims all around the world will be celebrating Eid after a month of fasting. In accordance to that, KUA Adelaide had organized an annual Eid Celebration. This year, it was held on the 29th of July 2017, Saturday at the Rumours Café. Being a multicultural country, our main target crowd will be Malaysians which comprise of various races such as Chinese and Indians.

Hence, according to project directors, Siti Sarah Jasmine and Sharifah Nor Amirah, the main objective of this event is to ensure that Malaysians community in Adelaide will be given the opportunity to experience such celebration which we plan to create an atmosphere that feels just like back home, thus, our tagline, especially for the Malaysian students who didn’t get the opportunity to celebrate Raya in Malaysia. In addition, we applied the ‘open house’ concept in order to target to strengthen and unite the brotherhood of Malaysians that are currently residing in Adelaide.

WRAP UP VIDEO
All in all, the Aidilfitri di Perantauan had run smoothly and received an overwhelming response from the Malaysian students here. The objectives of this event were successfully achieved where the Malaysians here can experience the festive atmosphere of celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri just like they were back in Malaysia. Since Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak became the sixth Prime Minister, he introduced a concept of solidarity, which is One Malaysia and with that concept I believe that Malaysian is always as one no matter where we were.
